Basketball makes me happy! So much I’ve dedicated my life to it. I started at the age of 5. I would imitate the moves I saw on TV playing in various REC and AAU leagues. High School I attended Skyline of Oakland where I was a 4 year varsity player. Then I went on to Odessa College of TX. After Odessa I chose to pursue my professional dream – not the NBA, but internationally, spending years in Canada and China. After playing, the love of the game I couldn’t let go – so began my coaching career, which has been my passion for the last 12 years. I love to see the growth in players on and off the court. I coach hard but love harder!

Experienced Basketball Coach
Coach William Bey has been a dedicated member of the Bloom Sports family for the past five years, bringing passion, leadership, and energy to every gym and classroom he steps into. With extensive experience as a basketball trainer, coach, and referee, Coach Bey has built a reputation for developing young athletes both on and off the court.
In addition to his work in athletics, Coach Bey serves as an educator at Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary School, where he is committed to mentoring and inspiring the next generation through education, discipline, and positive guidance. His unique ability to connect with youth allows him to create an environment that emphasizes teamwork, confidence, accountability, and personal growth.
Whether he is coaching from the sidelines, training athletes to sharpen their skills, or officiating competitive games, Coach Bey brings professionalism, knowledge of the game, and a genuine love for basketball. His mission is to help young athletes grow into strong students, leaders, and competitors while building a lifelong appreciation for the sport.

Experienced Basketball Coach
I started playing basketball in third grade and haven’t stopped since. I played at Mt. Eden High School in Hayward. From there I played at Mendocino College in Ukiah, California, for two years. I finished up my college career at Cal State East Bay. Through my basketball career I have learned a lot through lessons and experience that equip me with the knowledge to pass along to fellow players. Dedication, perseverance, and patience are valuable as a basketball player, and are needed for anyone who wishes for a long career.
